Highlights​

Linux​

  • WeConfig can now be run on both Linux and Windows machines
  • The framework used for the graphical user interface (GUI) has been changed from WPF to Avalonia, with this some parts of the interface has been overhauled
  • Windows specific parts of the backend code now also have a corresponding Linux implementation
  • .NET has been updated from 9.0 to 10.0

Auto-Commit​

  • Give the user explicit control over when the new configuration is committed to the device

CLI​

  • The stand-alone CLI version of WeConfig is now integrated directly into the main version of WeConfig

Device List​

  • All columns can now be sorted by clicking on the column header
  • You can now customize what columns are shown in the device list
  • You can now change the order of the columns in the device list
  • Auto-Pan now also scrolls in the device list

Discovery​

  • You can now add accounts pre-discovery if you know there are devices that do not use the default password
  • Moved Device Discovery options from below “Means of discovery” into its own tab

Firmware Upgrade​

  • You can now filter the version list
  • Backup is now again a clearly visible, explicit option
  • Improved error messages during Firmware Upgrade

Localization​

  • Support for Spanish

Physical Network​

  • Merged all the tabs in Physical Network into a single toolbar
  • You can now customize what information is shown on the devices in the Physical Network view
  • Zoom-to-fill will now linger even when moving devices.

Ping, Traceroute, Max MTU​

  • You can now use URLs in addition to just an IP Address

UI Changes​

  • Removed the Backstage menu (the WeConfig-cog that used to be in the top-left corner). You can now find all those features as part of the new File Menu at the top
  • CIDR- and IP Address input boxes now preview the generated color of that Address/Range
  • Number inputs now show the valid range of inputs (if any)
  • Unified all views where you can select and operate a single device to all behave in the same way
  • Unified all views where you can select and operate on multiple devices at the same time to all behave in the same way
  • Fixed fonts to make sure WeConfig looks the same on both Windows and Linux
  • New custom title bar for the application window
  • Configuration/Status views now show status accrued for each device during operations.

Device Support​

  • Add support for the new WeOS 5.30 cli syntax for firewall and port rate-limits
  • Added a default SNMPv3 user for Ibex devices
  • SNMP Trap and OIDs are now generated from official vendor MIBs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Bugfixes​

  • Resolved an issue where subnets could visually persist even after the final device in that subnet was removed
  • Resolved an issue where the yellow warning triangle was difficult to see in light mode
  • Resolved an issue where you could not press “Cancel” in the dialog when adding a VLAN-ID
  • Improved error messages during Packet Capture
  • Improved project serialization stability
